Choose a bounded task
Choose a workflow with repeatable inputs and an observable result. Document the steps, systems, expected output, and cases that should stop for review. Start with one task rather than asking a pilot to cover the entire revenue cycle.
Build an evaluation set
Include ordinary examples, incomplete inputs, and edge cases in your test set. Use synthetic or appropriately approved data. Compare results against a human-reviewed baseline and record mistakes by type, not just as one overall accuracy number.
Set the rollout gate
Agree in advance on acceptable outputs, escalation behavior, operator effort, and monitoring. Review results with the people responsible for the workflow. Expand scope gradually and keep a way to pause execution when conditions change.
